Just try it! One-on-One emails…

Posted by Shoshana

This will be a quick one.  I received yet another invite from someone for an event, and of course it was a mass marketing message that was sent out to many people at once.  I realize the time constraints.  However, I want to make an official plea to send out an individual email to people on your list.  Yes, this will take some more time and effort, but if you want to start building relationships, this is what it takes now.  You don’t just want a faceless, fickle audience, right?  Start treating them like individuals and see what happens.

Just try it!

Cheers to happy and loyal audiences,

Shoshana

This is one approach we use to help build an audience amongst librarians for the books we publish. The results are promising.

Thank you, Anthony. We would love to hear more about this initiative if you have the time.

Testimonials

Barbara A. Hardesty

“I enjoyed the workshop. I liked the history [of the audience] to put it in context and to emphasize that we desperately need to return to participation/interaction. I liked having a hand-out to refer back and a few samples of positive case studies. I also thought the brainstorming session was a great eye-opener for many people - how fast can a small group come up with basic ideas!!” —Barbara A. Hardesty, Founder of Da Vinci Capers
