Field of dreams for the artist

Field of Dreams

If you create it, will they buy?

Everyone has the ability to engage in the arts

I wasn’t going to post today since I am feeling a little blah at the moment. Is it okay to say this? As you know, articles have a way of getting me out of my shell to respond, and I believe this article is worth a good read.

Photographer, Neil Johnson, has thoughts about artists not being successful due to not being open to sharing beyond friends and family. They could have the most amazing art in the world, but if they do not market or develop their audiences, the art can remain collecting dust in their garages or attics. This is such is such a shame!

I know that some artists are categorized as introverts, and this makes it super challenging to meet the press so to speak.

However, if you seriously want your art to be the source of your living, your main income, allowing the public to get to know you and engaging with them is what has to be done.

If you are an artist that feels you have the talent, but are a little shy to tell the world about your art, this is the time when you will decide whether or not you will allow the other people in the world to help you. If you want it, it may mean getting to the point that you feel yourself and your art to be a worthy investment, to invest in you, so you can have someone in your corner to help you to reveal to the world your art and the type of artist that you are.

Life is a series of choices and decisions regarding these choices. Will you take the leap of going beyond building your field of dreams and instead invest in your future? It is your choice!

Cheers to happy and loyal audiences,
Shoshana
