Explaining the process is good for audience development

Posted by Shoshana

I had bought a gift certificate for someone. It mentioned that tickets would be emailed. I did not receive an email to send to the person I had bought the gift for. Her birthday was today, so I was a little down that I could not give her the birthday gift on time.

I emailed the organization to ask about sending the email. I received a message that the gift certificate was mailed to my address. There was nothing on the website explaining this process. Also, if they need to mail it, why couldn’t they mail it as a gift to the person I bought it for?

In these times of technology allowing us to do amazing things for our audiences, why aren’t we using the technology to help us look like customer service heroes?

You can only be a hero for your audience members if you go through the transaction yourself like an audience member.

Cheers to happy and loyal audiences,
Shoshana

“Boulder County Arts Alliance hired Shoshana to present a series of workshops. They were fabulous! Very well received and packed with useful and new information. The best part was I have been able to apply Shoshana's methods with very positive results.
