Best pricing for the newbies?

Posted by Shoshana

I have to make this quick. I am fast and furious at the Colorado Music Festival at the moment.  Again, if you are heading to the Boulder/Denver area this summer, let me know!

I received information on a 50% off of subscriptions for new subscribers offer. This is a “Comcast” mentality to attempt to bring in new people. I understand how the discount could lure in some new people, yet, how does this make the loyal subscriber feel?

On one hand, some of the loyals will understand the need to bring in new people and will support the decision. Others though will feel slighted. I always wondered why there isn’t an automatic system of saving more through the years instead.

I am opening up this conversation for debate. Yay or nay on the newest people getting the best discounts? Or should the best discounts be reserved for the people that have earned it over the years?

Cheers to happy and loyal audiences,
Shoshana

Testimonials

Alexis Del Palazzo

“I was excited to finally be able to have a consultation with Shoshana of Audience Development Specialists after following and interacting with her over twitter for some time. I had recognized that I needed to consult with a professional to focus my priorities, and my session with Shoshana did just that. I presented my ideas to Shoshana, and she was able to help me prioritize my ideas. ADS gave me the direction I needed to begin teaching via Skype, and I now have inquiries coming in from all over the world. It's hard enough to manage everything as a freelance musician. I will utilize Audience Development Specialists again when I need guidance on the next step to take.” —Alexis Del Palazzo
