The James Irvine Foundation

The Exploring Engagement Fund is seeking arts organizations with innovative ideas and a readiness to take bold steps that will engage new and diverse populations.

It supports experiments with engagement approaches that may be untried and unfamiliar, and profiles new projects that engage Californians in the arts.

The principal goal of The Shubert Foundation is to support not-for-profit, professional theatre and dance companies in the United States. The program areas of Arts Related Organizations and Education are smaller than those of Theatre and Dance and necessarily limited.

National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) – Various Deadlines

Knight Arts – Various Deadlines

Knight Foundation invests in artistic excellence, funding arts projects that engage the Knight resident communities in collective cultural experiences. We look for innovative, high-quality ideas. Our grantees represent both emerging artists and organizations and the oldest and most venerable institutions. The projects all have one thing in common: they enrich and engage the communities that produce them.

Funding is concentrated in eight resident Knight communities: Akron, Ohio; Charlotte, N.C.; Detroit, Mich.; Macon, Ga.; Miami, Fla.; Philadelphia, Pa.; San Jose, Calif.; and St. Paul, Minn.
